BIG Chamber Announcement!

Dear Friends,

We have some thrilling news for you! The Belfast Area Chamber is growing, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be moving to a larger office space just up the street at 33 Main St.!

Why the Move?

Thanks to the incredible support of valued members like you, we’ve outgrown our current space, and our new, 1,100 square-foot office will provide a more spacious and comfortable environment for visitors and the Chamber’s staff, volunteers and members. With two full-time employees, twenty volunteers, a high school intern and upwards of 80 visitors per day in the summer, our office at 14 Main is often overcrowded. Plus, as our membership base continues to grow, we may need room for an additional part-time person to help with marketing and administrative needs.

What’s in Store for You?

As always, we’re committed to improving the high-quality services you’ve come to expect from your Chamber. And our new, larger space will allow us to introduce exciting networking opportunities and access to more business services, while providing the exceptional service you deserve. We anticipate more foot traffic at our new location and look forward to promoting our members—and the City of Belfast—to an even bigger audience.

When is the Move Happening?

Moving day is February 23rd, officially the 29th, and we’re working diligently to ensure a seamless transition. During this period, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we move to our new location.

Thank you for your support

We sincerely thank our landlords, John Holmes and Jerri Finch, for their unwavering support of the Chamber over the years. John’s ready smile and seemingly endless supply of amusing stories have made it easy for us to be his tenants. Heads-up: a new retail store will be moving into 14 Main St. soon. Stay tuned for details!

Our new landlord, Karen Miles, former owner/operator of Wanderbird Expedition Cruises, has taken this time between tenants to update and renovate the space at 33 Main St. She’s kindly consulted us on many details of the upgrades and for that, we’re grateful!

Again, the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce thanks you for your continued support. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the loyalty and enthusiasm of our amazing members, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home at 33 Main St.

Here’s to new beginnings and an exciting future together!

Dorothy Havey

Executive Director

Help Support Those Impacted by Recent Storms

In response to the recent storms that have impacted many of our local businesses along the Harbor, the Belfast Mayor, and City Council plan to use the ‘Keep the Faith Fund’ to address the needs of the businesses affected by the recent January 2024 coastal storms.

Belfast residents are encouraged to make a donation to the Keep the Faith Fund in support of these local businesses who have been directly impacted with storm damage.
