The Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce this year’s annual Chamber award winners after two weeks of voting by its membership and the public at large. There were many deserving nominees this year and we extend congratulations to all of our members for the recognition of their efforts to make our region such a wonderful place to live, work, and play in.
This year’s award winners are as follows:

Waldo County Business Award – Hamilton Marine, Searsport (sponsored by First National Bank)
Health Care Partner Award – Belfast Farmers’ Market and Eagle Scout Kaleb Brown, Palermo (sponsored by Waldo County General Hospital/MaineHealth)
Hometown Heritage Award – Waldo Community Action Partners, Belfast (sponsored by Camden National Bank)
The much-anticipated Citizen of the Year Award, sponsored by Mathews Brothers Company, and the Chamber Appreciation Award, sponsored by Front Street Shipyard, will be announced live at the Chamber Awards Gala on Friday, November 3rd, at 5:00 p.m. in the Bayview Room at the United Farmers Market of Maine, 18 Spring St., in Belfast. Dinner, hors d’oeuvres, and dessert will be catered by Delvino’s Grill & Pasta House, there will be a cash bar, live music, a professional photographer for headshots and event photos, wonderful table centerpieces from area businesses that will be raffled to support a student scholarship, and more. Special thanks as well to PCHC – Penobscot Community Health Care who is sponsoring our reception and to Central Maine Power for sponsoring our live entertainment for the evening.
